Hi all!

Just in case you missed it, we are THE MAYES TEAM! Before we get all up into the lifestyle we live and how the heck we do it, we'd like to take a minute and introduce ourselves and share a smidge of the journey we took to get here.

And yes ya'll... this life is CRAZY!

We are a family of 7...Gabriel, Debbie, Gracen, Darby, Deacon, Jovey and Gideon in heaven. About a year and a half ago we decided to change everything about our life and start fresh. We had accumulated all the "stuff" a family could want (Big Home, Cars, Lots of "friends" and yadayada).

We had gotten to a place where we were miserable, frustrated, disconnected and we knew that we needed change in every area of our life. So what did we do?!? We did what any normal family would do.... we bought a friggin' School Bus to live in. 😳

They call it a "Skoolie." And folks, ours is pretty stinkin awesome.

It's a 2000 Thomas High Top complete with a roof deck, full kitchen and can sleep 8. It's home.

Life before the skoolie was nutso. To say we needed life change is an understatement. We needed to be changed from the inside out so... we buckled down and did some major heart work then through divine intervention found the tiny house movement that we have fallen in love with.

Within weeks we jumped on board, started a new business, designed a skoolie, started the build and have not looked back yet! In August of 2017 we moved all 4 kids in and began the insane journey west towards the coast. Mountains, beaches, rivers and deserts?!? YES PLEASE! 🙌🏼

Side Note: WE HATE THE SNOW. REALLY, REALLY, REALLY HATE THE SNOW.

Phew, it feels good to get that out in the open.... 😉

Before we did all of this we sold most of our stuff and moved out of our 5000 sq. ft house. We have learned so much through this journey and are excited to share all the ups and downs with you! We are passionate about chasing our dreams and encouraging others to chase theirs. It's never too late to create the life you have always dreamed of!
